This is not possible since the menu tree is a truly hierarchical structure with nested elements and if we apply “overflow: hidden” to some parent menu (in order to clip it as you like), we won’t be able to display any sub menus it has. That’s why it’s only possible to use the browser viewport as a scrolling container.
