Forums Archive Index > SmartMenus 5 > IE 6 restricts page from showing active content

Is there anything I can do? Every time I access the site I get the warning that the script is being blocked "for my security."
"To help protect your security, IE has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer." The yellow bar that pops down from the top of the page.
This is very annoying. Your site does not have this problem and I have seen other sites that don't do it either.
Any advice.
Thanks.

I am not completely familiar with this feature that was introduces in IE in XP SP2. But as far as I have noted, this yellow bar shows up (and blocks the scripts) when you open pages with JavaScript code locally from your hard drive. I am not very sure if this also happens when you open pages from your LAN. But in most case (if not all- I am not sure again) when opened from the Internet, the JavaScript code on the same pages is not blocked and there is no sign of the yellow bar.
I am also not aware of a method that allows the user to turn this feature off. I suppose there is some kind of preference in Internet Options -> Security but I am not aware of it.
I run Windows 2000 on my PC for every day use and probably this is why I haven't personally "investigated" the yellow bar. :)

valar2006 : explanation of the ADMIN is coorect 100%. You must have to Upload it first your file into your hosting site so that the Internet Security will not POP. That is one feature of XP SP2 to prevent virus attacking your computer.
